Lost or Found? Uncover the Real You Today!
⭐️Break free from doubt and step into the life you were meant to live
“If you’re out of tune with yourself, how can you be in harmony with others?” - Tank Sinatra
I heard this on a podcast I love, and it really resonated with me. As one of my dear friends (and another podcast host) also says, " Come correct!”
The meaning is that you can’t have a meaningful relationship, romantic or otherwise, until you learn to love and accept yourself.
To be comfortable with others, you must be comfortable with YOURSELF. You have to know who you are and what you believe. You need to set your boundaries and find people who respect and understand you as you are.
You might rely on others for validation when you're not authentic. If you’re not confident in yourself, you may give up your beliefs to follow others. If you don’t trust your instincts and values, you can fall prey to temptations and ill-intentioned people.
Working on yourself is essential—to figure out who you are, to be comfortable being alone, and to be confident enough to wait to make the right people a part of your life instead of accepting whoever gives you attention.
I’ve found that this isn’t something you do once and continue with your life. This is a tool you will find helpful throughout your life as you grow and change.
There are also different kinds of people in your life: those who are around for a lifetime and those who come and go. Everyone around you will help you to understand yourself better. You will learn to grow with each other, or sometimes you will grow apart. Other times, people will come in briefly, and you will realize that not everyone has your best interest at heart.
Being honest and true to yourself will help you attract others who respect your traits and beliefs. Being confident in yourself also makes it easier to spot people trying to friend you for the wrong reasons. You will trust your instincts and have the conviction to stand firm in who you are and not let them in.
If you want to build stronger, more significant relationships, you must start with the most important one: your relationship with yourself.
Be yourself - truly, authentically, and unapologetically. Love yourself. Believe that you are enough. Recognize that anyone who doesn’t appreciate and accept this in you isn’t a good fit.
And if you’re not there yet, it’s never too late to start discovering who you are. 🫶🏼
