Live in the moment!

⭐️If you’ve been reading my posts long enough, you probably know that I have been a high anxiety person most of my life. My older son once told me he never has to worry because I do it for him - and he was right.

⭐️I spent so much time worrying about and fearing what was ahead, that I was forgetting to enjoy the moment. I put way too much of my time and energy into creating things to be afraid of.

⭐️We set our own expectations in such a way that we can wind up inventing excuses not to do things out of fear. Fear of failure, fear of disappointment, fear of judgement - you name it, you can find a reason to be fearful of it if you try hard enough.

⭐️ No matter how much you plan or prepare, you can’t predict the outcome. You also can’t foresee what might occur along the way.

⭐️ How many times have you thought, “this isn’t what I thought it would be”?

💥BUT💥 there are some things you CAN do:

⭐️ Take it one day at a time. Live in the moment. Break things down into smaller parts and focus on one small step at a time. Hope for the best and give yourself grace if things don’t go according to plan.

⭐️Although you can’t control the outcome, you CAN manage your expectations. When you take smaller steps along the way, if something goes wrong, it won't feel as extreme or like your whole plan is falling apart.

⭐️Be Flexible. Allow yourself to change when needed and understand that it's okay to go off course as long as you're still headed in the right direction.

⭐️ Life is short. If you're always focused on what's ahead, you'll never be able to enjoy what's right in front of you💕
