Keep Afloat: Prevent Your Ship from Sinking in Life's Storms
⭐️Stay Steady When Waters Get Rough
❓Do you ever feel like you’re drowning? In responsibilities, debt, the noise around you. Whatever it is that feels like an unnecessary weight.
Distractions constantly surround us. Sometimes, they are welcome distractions; other times, they can be paralyzing.
Think about it this way: ships don’t sink because of the water around them; they sink because of the water that gets IN them.
You control what you allow to take up space in your head and your life. At times, it may feel impossible to get things done or stay focused on your goals. You begin to lose sight of what’s important.

We cannot change what already happened. We can’t fix the past, and we can’t control the future. What we CAN do is decide what we will allow RIGHT NOW.
Sure, some things need to be addressed, and certain responsibilities need to be fulfilled to live and be. BUT you can remove a lot of that extra water from your ship.
Don’t allow ‘unnecessary’ worries and the opinions and expectations of others to sink your ship. 𝐷𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑡 𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑀𝐼𝐺𝐻𝑇 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑘𝑒𝑒𝑝 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑓𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑡𝑜𝑑𝑎𝑦.
⭐️How you handle the day or circumstance is up to you. What you allow into your headspace is your choice.
You can let the unessential consume you and drown in the worry and fear of what was or will be. Or you can center yourself, take a few deep breaths, and evaluate what’s taking up space in your head.
⭐️Don't take on more water than you NEED to stay afloat.
Trust me, I spent many years drowning in my own worry and fear. I learned how to prioritize what was actually important and what I just allowed as a distraction in my head.
Am I perfect? No.
There are days when I let my ship sink instead of sailing past those distractions, but I also know how to get back on track and be more intentional and productive.
